Summer is the season for fun nails! In this series, nail artist JUNKO shares her tips on easy and stylish do-it-yourself nail designs. The colors used are 18, a yellow with an interesting nuance that's almost like a sandy, flesh-toned beige; 19, a happy, sunny orange; and 20, a brilliant khaki with a sophisticated shimmer. These natural nail colors enhance your fashionable mood. The circles on the tips of the nails can be slightly oval, as they still create the warmth of hand-painting.

■How to
(1) Apply 20 to the hands and 19 to the feet in two coats.
(2) Once the base color of each has dried, mark the triangles on the middle fingers of the hands and feet by sticking masking tape (or cellophane tape if you don't have masking tape) in a V shape.
(3) Apply the color on the inside of the V (18 for both hands and feet) over the masking tape. The feet are now finished.
(4) For the hands, use 19 to draw circles on the tips of the fingers. The trick is to squeeze the polish with the edge of the bottle so that it doesn't drip, then hold the brush almost parallel to the nail with the tip of the brush facing the tip of the nail, and use the side of the brush to draw an arc in a circle.
