Nice to meet you! My name is Akito Teramoto, and I'm a makeup artist. I usually work on fashion magazines and collection makeup.

This time, I went to the launch event for the makeup brand "THREE."

As many of you may know, "THREE" is a natural cosmetics brand from Japan that, while being environmentally conscious, incorporates high-quality, domestically produced natural ingredients to create highly functional and stylish products. It offers makeup that enhances a woman's natural beauty with a touch of fashion, and is one of the most popular brands today, supported by people of all ages.

The venue for the "THREE" new product launch was filled with a subtle citrus scent, and the 2015-16 Autumn/Winter collection was on display in a modern and warm space.

THREE is renowned for its skincare created using carefully selected ingredients and cutting-edge science. In addition to their lotions and creams, their beauty oils, blended with various botanical oils and extracts, are exceptional. The oil's high moisturizing properties also help prevent dryness in the winter and in the office in the summer.

At this press conference, we focused on foundation and point makeup!

The new creamy foundation is formulated with seven types of plant oils, making it rich yet soft, with excellent coverage.

When blended using a special foundation brush designed to fit the contours of your face, it provides even coverage, giving you the illusion of perfectly textured bare skin! It adheres to your skin like a suction cup, and feels as gentle as wearing soft chiffon.

And the focal point of makeup is the lips!!

What's interesting about this lineup is that it offers a variety of textures while staying on trend.

The lip pencil and lip jam can both be used separately. The pencil has a semi-matte finish, allowing you to smoothly draw your lip line. Lip Jam's texture and color are somewhere between a gloss and a lipstick, giving lips a luxurious sheen and moisture.

I focused on the lip products because I found the changes in color and texture intriguing when using the two together.

You can use the pencil alone for a semi-matte finish, enjoy a fresh color with Lip Jam, or mix the pencil and Lip Jam to accentuate or tone down the color depending on the occasion.

The key to lip makeup is trend-conscious "playful" makeup. With the Lip Pencil and Lip Jam combos, you're sure to find a look that suits you. The modern yet warm packaging design is another great feature of "THREE." I'm looking forward to using them in my next shoot.

Akito is a makeup artist currently based in Tokyo. He moved to France after graduating from university. She studied makeup in Paris and earned the Cidesco International Diploma, certified by the French Ministry of Education. She has worked on campaign ads and catalogs for brands like H&M x Lanvin, as well as editorial pages for magazines like Vogue and Life, a time-honored magazine famous for featuring Queen Elizabeth on its cover. She also participated in the Paris Collection as a member of world-renowned makeup teams like Pat McGrath and Shiseido. She gained experience working on numerous shows, including those for Chanel and Louis Vuitton. After six years in France, she returned to Japan and worked on Tokyo Collection, TV commercials, and advertising campaigns for 3.1 Phillip Lim. She currently collaborates with renowned photographer Leslie Kee and other photographers, and is constantly expanding her horizons, focusing on fashion pages for major international magazines like Vogue and WWD.
