KOKUYO Furniture, which specializes in office interior design and furniture design, began selling its new office furniture brand, "ofon," a collaboration with the design office "nendo," on January 30th.
Ofon is a furniture brand for compact offices based on the concept of "enjoying working in a small space to the fullest." The name "ofon" was chosen to convey the message that the brand is for people who enjoy working while shifting between "ON" time, where they concentrate on work, and "OFF" time, where they can relax. nendo and KOKUYO Furniture collaborated from the concept creation stage to sell freely configurable system furniture and select items, and propose and provide office spaces with a choice of four styles. The products are available for purchase on the official "Ofon" website, which launched on January 30th.
Led by designer Oki Sato, nendo is a design office based in Tokyo, Milan, and Singapore, with the concept of "making people feel the small '!'" He was responsible for the design of the sales space for KENZO Parfums and the Osaka store of Camper, among others. Many of his works are housed in major art museums around the world, including the Museum of Modern Art in New York and the Pompidou Centre in Paris.
