ARC, a club where you can experience the latest in music, fashion, and culture, opened in Omotesando, Tokyo, in July. The creative director of ARC is Abilio Marcelo Hagihara, former visual director for Prada Japan and USA, who also worked on the Tokyo Midtown select shop RESTIR. The logo was designed by Bo Jung, an art director at LLOYD&CO, whose clients include Tom Ford, Calvin Klein, and Bottega Veneta. The club's impressive team also includes interior designer Bryan Russell of SYNDICATE, which designs Rachel Zoe's hair salon, and lighting designer Ryoko Nakamura of Loop Lighting, which designed the interior lighting for Beyoncé Knowles' home. ARC will host various events on different days of the week, based on the concept of "curating only the best, regardless of whether it's local, international, major, underground, famous, or unknown." One of these events is the party curated by New York's high fashion magazine TWELV, which takes place every Friday. It offers early introductions to up-and-coming artists from Japan and abroad, making it the perfect place to catch the latest news. An opening party will be held on July 17th, 18th, 24th, and 25th. On July 30th, singer-songwriter Yumi Shizukusa will appear as a guest and perform a special performance. For Yumi Shizukusa's recently released music fashion video for her song "All my life," costumes were provided by famous brands, including KTZ, designed by Marjan Pejoski, the designer behind Bjork's costumes.
