Charlotte Gainsbourg and her beloved daughter, Alice Jane, have been chosen to appear in the campaign celebrating the 20th anniversary of French brand Comptoir des Cotonniers.
The original concept of Comptoir des Cotonniers was "mother and daughter." With Anne-Valerie Hash as the new artistic director, Charlotte and her 13-year-old daughter, Alice, have appeared as models. Charlotte values her privacy and has never previously shown her daughter in public.
She inherits her mother's natural, boyish silhouette, and her eyes are just like those of her father, actor and director Yvan Attal. Charlotte and her partner, Yvan, have two sons, ages 18 and 4.
In recent years, the brand has moved away from the "mother and daughter" concept, but to mark its 20th anniversary, it is returning to its roots. Mother and daughter Charlotte will appear in the campaign from AW15. The photos will be taken by Alasdair Mclellan, a notable British photographer who is 29 years old this year.
