Fukagawa Seiji Co., Ltd. will launch "Tetote," a series of simple and minimalist tableware that blends seamlessly into modern life, on April 29, 2021, and will begin selling it at its directly managed stores nationwide and online store.

The "Tetote" series is a new series of minimalist tableware from Fukagawa Seiji. With designs by food creator Uchiyama Yuki and direction by fashion designer Kushino Shinya, Fukagawa Seiji's proud open-glazed porcelain, celadon porcelain, and elegant patterns have been transformed into tableware designed to suit the modern dining table.
The sleek shape was created by the hands of creators and artisans who poured their efforts into every detail with the user's hands in mind, and the high-quality feel that nourishes the soul. "Tetote" is designed to be considerate of the user's hands and space, and also to meet the new era's values of choosing only high-quality items.
 
 
CREATOR
Design: Uchiyama Yuki / Representative of Shunkousha, chef, food and product designer. Through space and product design, we propose a colorful lifestyle and food culture that is in keeping with the seasons and climate.
 
Direction: Kushino Shinya / Fashion designer. His shoes as art have received high praise overseas. The concept of a final design that embodies inspiration from nature using cutting-edge technology and traditional techniques has been poured into "Tetote".

Fukagawa Seishu, a pottery manufacturer that won a gold medal at the Paris World Exposition and is also a purveyor to the Imperial Household Ministry
 
Fukagawa Seishu was founded in 1894 (Meiji 27) by Fukagawa Chuji in Arita, the birthplace of Japanese porcelain. In 1900 (Meiji 33), the company won a gold medal at the Paris World's Fair, and in 1910 (Meiji 43), its advanced ceramics techniques were recognized and the company was appointed a purveyor to the Imperial Household Ministry. For approximately 130 years, the company has maintained an integrated production system in which all processes, starting with the creation of the clay, are handled in-house, preserving traditional techniques while simultaneously presenting modern tableware, interior design, and art pieces at international interior exhibitions such as the Milan Salone and Maison & Objet. It continues to propose beauty in everyday life through its pottery.
