KUIPO, a company involved in the planning, manufacturing, wholesale, and licensing of bags and fashion accessories, including those from the Genten brand, will begin selling LACOSTE bags and small goods in Japan starting with the 2015-2016 Autumn/Winter season. A launch party was held at the company's office on July 22nd. KUIPO has signed a sales agreement with Ceramac, the French company that holds the production and sales rights for LACOSTE bags and small goods. Going forward, KUIPO and Japan will jointly handle the planning and wholesale functions that were previously handled solely by Japan. The company will offer bags and small goods suitable for a wide range of occasions, from sports to casual wear and business. Starting in late August, limited-time pop-up events will be held nationwide for the 2015-2016 Autumn/Winter collection, with further expansion planned for the 2016 Spring/Summer collection and beyond. KUIPO will also provide information to France based on the functionality of the bags and trends in Japan.

As the brand name comes from Paris-born tennis player René Lacoste, who won the world's four major tennis tournaments a total of seven times, the venue for the event was decorated with an image of "tennis" and "golf," another symbol of the brand, and the words "LIFE IS BEAUTIFUL SPORT" were written on the wall. New bags and accessories were lined up in colorful shades of red, yellow, and green inside the venue.

The day also saw an installation featuring models wearing outfits representing four themes - sports scenes such as tennis and golf, casual, and business - and the collection was unveiled in a party format.
