On September 30th, Matsuya, a department store, will open a new annex, "Matsuya Ginza Marronnier Street Building" (3-7-1 Ginza, Chuo-ku, Tokyo), along Marronnier Street in Ginza, Tokyo.

The six-story building (five floors of the six floors) with a sales floor area of 900m2 will house "Rue du Jour," the first full-line shop for "agnes b.", on the first to third floors.

In addition to consolidating all the bags previously sold on the women's and men's floors of the main building into one location, the store will also include the baby & kids' line, the sister line, the casual wear line "SPORT B.", which will be making its Japan debut, and the interior goods line "LA MAISON SUR L'EAU," proposing lifestyle ideas that incorporate the world of "agnes b.", which is popular with all generations. The company is partnering with its French parent company to restructure its brand and attract a new customer base in Japan. The first-floor cafe, "Le Café du Jour," will serve an original blend of coffee. Furthermore, as part of a zoning reorganization aimed at increasing shopping volume and sales, specialized shops will be relocated from the main building to the fourth floor. School uniforms and other items will be available on this floor, along with a photo studio (scheduled to open November 1st). The fifth floor will be an event space, where events tailored to specific occasions, special sales, and events for card members will be held to attract customers and provide new products and information. Matsuya Ginza Marronnier Dori Building is targeting sales of 1.2 billion yen in its first year.
