First wedding at Ron Herman Zushi Marina. Wedding party at the Happy Yacht Harbor [Writer's Blog]

Jul 28, 2015

Passing through the white fence of Ron Herman Zushi Marina, a pleasant sea breeze blew in from the ocean. The spectacular yacht harbor caught my eye. The contrast of the ocean, cruisers, and blue and white almost brought tears to my eyes.

Today, I attended the wedding party of men's fashion stylist Saori Kajitani, whom I've known for 14 years. Kajitani has worked for magazines such as Begin, LEON, MEN's EX, and UOMO, and is now an indispensable presence in Japanese men's fashion magazines. He can offer a wide range of styles, from casual to suits, and he can also style with a feminine perspective, so I really relied on him when working for men's magazines.

Kajitani's partner is Naoto Matsumura, an editor at the surf magazine "Blue." As a passionate lover of the ocean and surfing, Matsumura is even more tanned than Kajitani.
That's why this beachfront venue suited him so well.
The venue for this party, "Riviera Wedding Ron Herman," is a wedding planning venue developed in collaboration between Ron Herman and Riviera Tokyo.
This is the first time since the venue opened on July 18th.
Entering the glass-walled cafe space, you can see the boats moored outside, which is a great way to unwind, even though you don't own one. In such a cheerful setting, midday drinks taste even better!
Then, amid cheers from the crowd, the bride and groom appeared, both wearing sunglasses! The groom wore Ray-Bans, while the bride adorned her eyes with '70s vintage glasses. It's only in this location that sunglasses complemented the dress so well. Incidentally, the bride wore flip-flops—a casual touch perfectly captured by Kajitani's exquisite styling. The groom wore '70s OP shorts and Weston patent loafers, perfectly matching the West Coast atmosphere of the venue. The dress code for the day was tank tops, so everyone was dressed casually. They went out on the deck, enjoyed the sea breeze, drank alcohol, got sunburned, and dozed off a bit... Everyone felt like they were on vacation. They let loose, dancing and singing, and this relaxed atmosphere suited them perfectly. However, the children were also enjoying the seaside atmosphere to the fullest, even getting even more excited than the adults on the sofas on the deck. While children often have to be restrained at wedding parties, this venue offers plenty of fun, including strolling and boat viewing, making it a safe and child-friendly venue. This is a highly recommended venue for anyone looking for an open-minded wedding party overlooking the ocean. While this venue normally operates as a cafe, it has apparently begun accepting reservations for wedding parties like this one starting in October.

They provided party food made with local ingredients, recreated memorable scenes from the couple on a cake, and were able to suggest wedding favors unique to Ron Herman, and were happy to listen to our various requests.

We had a wonderful time in a wonderful location. Congratulations on your marriage! We wish you a long and happy life together!
