Shimada Foreign Books, a long-established visual foreign book store in Minami-Aoyama, Tokyo (A103, 1st floor, T-PLACE, 5-5-25 Minami-Aoyama, Minato-ku, Tokyo), has announced that it will close on September 23rd of this year. In conjunction with this, the store will hold a "Complete Closing Sale" for 50 days from August 5th until the store's closing date.

Shimada Foreign Books is celebrating its 50th anniversary in Minami-Aoyama, but this year marks that milestone, and its operator, Shimada Co., Ltd., has decided to withdraw from the foreign book business. The store's extensive and overwhelming selection of books, imported directly from Europe, America, and Asia, spans a wide range of genres, including fashion, design, art, architecture, music, weddings, textiles, cooking, and picture books.
