The COMME des GARÇONS 2016 Spring/Summer collection show was held at the brand's own showroom on Place Vendôme in Paris. The show opened with a knit pullover featuring the word "BOY." A striped series featured shirts with patchwork stripes on the sleeves and long-sleeved striped shirts, coordinated with Bermuda shorts. Jackets also featured striped collars and piping. Knit and printed shirts with mountain landscape motifs featured holes here and there, a reference to the cut-up white shirts in the series, creating a slightly punkish impression. A series of patchwork shirts made from several different fabrics had a clean, graphic finish. A Hawaiian-themed shirt, a trend this season, also appeared, and was punctured with countless holes.
This was followed by long-sleeved shirts with the words "free" and "live" emblazoned on them, and rock-style shirts decorated with belts, before finishing on a refreshing note with striped jackets and duffle coats.
