Yohji Yamamoto's exhibition "YOHJI YAMAMOTO / Mode Photography" will be held at Daikanyama Hillside Forum in Tokyo from December 17th to January 15th, 2017.

The exhibition will display Yohji Yamamoto's fashion photographs taken to date. It will feature original prints and posters by photographers who have brought a breath of fresh air to the fashion photography world, such as Craig McDean and David Sims, as well as Japanese photographers Keiichi Tahara and Yutaka Yamamoto, who are active both in Japan and abroad, and Leslie Kee, who has been capturing Yohji Yamamoto through his lens for the past few years.

In addition, the exhibition will showcase Yamamoto's creations, which are always expanding beyond the times, including a documentary by Wim Wenders, a video work based on runway shows, and the legendary 1999 wedding collection.

In addition, Yohji Yamamoto and artist Yuka Asakura have collaborated on a capsule collection called "A Yohji Yamamoto (@Yohji Yamamoto)," which will be presented as a limited edition item at the "Painting and Weaving: Yohji Yamamoto & Yuka Asakura" exhibition currently being held at the Tokyo Opera City Art Gallery. A limited-edition shop will be open within Daikanyama Hillside during the "YOHJI YAMAMOTO/Mode Photography" exhibition, selling limited quantities of T-shirts, hoodies, tote bags, and other items from the collection.
