The Tokyo Copywriters Club (TCC), in collaboration with the Yoshida Hideo Memorial Foundation, is holding the "TCC Advertising Award Exhibition" at the Advertising Museum Tokyo in Shiodome, Tokyo, from June 4th. Based on the judging principle set by this year's chairman, Masanori Taniyama, "What would change between a world without that copy and a world with that copy?", the exhibition showcases advertising copy selected from 6,446 submissions by a total of 132 judges. A talk show will be held on June 7th at 2:30 PM, in which Taniyama will delve into the future of advertising as envisioned by the award-winning Honda team, "Sound of Honda." The "Copywriters in Action Exhibition" will also feature footage of this year's award winners and other copywriters at work. The "Copywriters' Bookshelf" exhibition, located adjacent to the Advertising Museum Tokyo, will showcase the favorite books of four copywriters: Taniyama, Takayasu Tamayama, Junpei Iwata, and Kinya Okamoto, along with their personal messages.

TCC, which was established in 1962 and was formerly known as the "Copy Toka-kai" (Copy Ten Days Club), was founded in 1958, is an organization of copywriters and commercial planners in Japan. It currently has 900 members, and those who win the TCC Newcomer Award, which is judged every April, are eligible to join. The TCC Awards, which have a 50-year history, are selected by judges and committees selected by members from the perspective of cutting-edge copywriters and commercial planners. The 2014 Grand Prix was won by Dentsu's Yoshimitsu Sawamoto for his television commercial for Softbank Mobile.
