New Balance will release the "247" in January 2017 as a new model for the Spring/Summer 2017 season. Named after "24 hours, 7 days," the shoe was created with the goal of providing comfortable support for people living in a new era that requires seamless balance rather than the outdated notion of a clear distinction between work and play. Ahead of the shoe's January 2017 debut, a special edition limited to 247 pairs was gifted to celebrities around the world on December 12th. In Japan, four pairs will also be given away to four people who apply through New Balance's lifestyle web magazine, "BETA MAG" (http://betamag.newbalance.co.jp/news/subscription_247/). The special edition retains the look of the brand's most popular models, such as the "1300JP," "998," and "576," while incorporating a fresh new design. The shoes incorporate the latest technologies, such as the ultra-lightweight midsole material "REVLITE" and an upper structure that improves fit. The application period is from December 14th to December 20th at 11:59 PM.
