Christian Louboutin's first men's-only boutique in Japan opened in Ginza 5-chome on November 25th. On December 5th, designer Christian Louboutin himself visited Japan and visited the boutique, the brand's 14th store in Japan.
The store design was handled by 212BOX, a New York-based design unit that handles Louboutin store design globally. The wide, street-facing facade on the first and second floors features Louboutin red and metallic materials, adding yet another touch of glamour to the Ginza district in preparation for Christmas.
Christian Louboutin men's items have previously been sold at the flagship store that opened in Ginza 7-chome in 2010 and at the Isetan Shinjuku store, where they have grown to account for approximately 35% of sales. As the brand's fan base continues to grow with each passing season, a new men's boutique has been launched, with a store design that is different from previous stores.
The second floor lighting evokes the image of nautical lighting, and the sofas, chairs, and metallic walls that create different impressions with different lighting create a luxurious atmosphere for men's fashion, featuring mini spikes, gold, and silver signatures.
On the wall of the staircase, 30 Mexican masks from Louboutin's personal collection, some dating back more than 300 years, are displayed. These masks offer a glimpse into the design philosophy of the brand, which has recently attracted attention with retrospective exhibitions at the Design Museum in London and Toronto, Canada.
To commemorate the store's opening, the store is offering exclusive items including a camouflage-patterned wallet, a three-way bag that can be worn as a clutch or crossbody, and sneakers and city shoes from the "Thorn" series inspired by Jurassic dinosaurs.
