Saint Laurent has revived its "Couture Salon," where creative director Hedi Slimane creates exclusive pieces exclusively for select individuals. The brand has unveiled the couture campaign visuals, "RUE DE L'UNIVERSITE." Located at 24 Rue de la Université in Saint-Germain-des-Prés, the new couture salon is the result of a three-year renovation by Hedi Slimane of the Hôtel Sénectaire, originally built in 1685 by Thomas Gaubert, King Louis XIV's architectural director. The design is based on historical elements and architectural principles of 18th-century France. The couture house's first floor houses four salons, while the third and fourth floors house two ateliers: L'Atelier Fleur, dedicated to dressmaking, and L'Atelier Tailor, dedicated to tailoring. The interior features modernist, Art Deco and 18th-century French furnishings from the private collections of Yves Saint Laurent and Hedi Slimane. The gardens have been faithfully restored to their original designs, based on 18th-century records and with the advice of historians.
The newly announced couture campaign was shot entirely in the couture salon and gardens of the couture house. Models include the brand's iconic girls Flo, Elena, Lida and iconic boy Devon.
