"GLAMPING BLUE by MOUNTAIN MORNING," a pop-up shop by MOUNTAIN MORNING, a unit led by interior stylist Fumiko Sakuhara, opened on March 30th at Isetan Shinjuku's 5th floor Center Park/The Stage #5.
Following the "Mountain Morning 'White'" pop-up held at the same store last December, this time's theme is a spring glamping camping style inspired by the "blue" of the Seto Inland Sea. It proposes an elegant and fun camping style incorporating furniture, household goods, photography, art, and Setouchi-made products.
The pop-up space, styled by Fumiko Sakuhara herself, is lined with items perfect for camping, including original blend coffee beans from BROWN'S Cafe & Beans, speakers from Marshall Headphones, and groceries from GOOD NEIGHBORS' FINE FOODS. Other items on sale at Setouchi include plywood plates from Kagawa tableware manufacturer GOLD CRAFT, tote bags and aprons from Yutenji vintage shop VOIRY STORE, tableware from Richard Ginori, limited-edition rain jackets and coats from HELLY HANSEN, stacking mugs from STUSSY Livin' GENERAL STORE, and "Setouchi Blue" WHYTROPHY rosettes. Last year's popular collaboration with Maruni Wood Industry, the HIROSHIMA armchair x PENDLETON Shinjuku Isetan edition, is also back. The ocean photographs used on the posters and flyers for this pop-up are photographs of the tranquil Seto Inland Sea taken by photographer Naoko Morimoto. The space also features an exhibition of photos of the Setouchi region by Naoko Morimoto and Tetsuya Yamamoto, and postcard sets are available for purchase. "GLAMPING BLUE by MOUNTAIN MORNING" will run until April 12th, so hurry!
