DHL Fashion Industry Support Program Announces Four Winners

The winners of "DHL Exported," a new program to support the fashion industry, created by logistics service company DHL and fashion week operator IMG Fashion, have been announced. The winners are four pairs of five people: Italy's Francesca Liberatore, Turkey's Hakan Yildirim, who runs his own brand "Hakaan," Nicholas and Christopher Kunz, who run the US-based brand "Nicholas K," and Henry Holland, founder of the UK-based brand "House of Holland."

Liberatore will participate in Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week New York in September 2014 and February 2015, Hakaan at London Fashion Week, Nicholas K at Milan Fashion Week, and House of Holland at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Tokyo in October 2014 and March 2015.

The judges in Japan were Akiko Nobuta, International Director of the Japan Fashion Week Organization; Hajime Nakagawa, Assistant General Manager of the Women's and Children's Department at Isetan Mitsukoshi; Toshikazu Iwatani, designer of DRESSCAMP; and Junko Takada, Executive Officer in Charge of Marketing at DHL Japan.

The award, which began in 2014, was accepted by IMG Fashion from February 17th to April 2nd, with judging panels based in New York, London, Milan, and Tokyo selecting the three finalists. DHL Exported will sponsor the production of the fashion week runway shows for the second consecutive season and will also cover the logistics costs of transporting the final pieces to the venue. A total of 150 entries were submitted to DHL and IMG Fashion from 36 countries around the world.
