Melissa, a takeout shop and gourmet boutique at the Rihga Royal Hotel (Osaka), will be selling a gift box cake called "Dear..." (10,000 yen), perfect for Mother's Day, for a limited time from April 25th to May 8th.

Sold by reservation only, "Dear..." is a gift box-shaped cake made from plastic chocolate (white chocolate mixed with corn syrup). Opening the lid reveals a cake topped with strawberries and other fruits, underneath which are white chocolate mousse, mint mousse, and strawberry mousse.

They will also be selling "Merci Maman" (550 yen), a bite-sized cake inspired by carnation flowers. This cake is made of sponge cake filled with mascarpone mousse and has a brulee center made with gelee fraise (strawberry jelly) and pistachio paste. In addition, a "Mother's Day Decorated Cake" (4,000 yen) will also be sold, which is topped with colorful berries to resemble carnations and can be cut up and enjoyed by the whole family.
