Reebok Classic has collaborated with 20th Century Fox to create the "Alien Stomper" shoes featured in the 1986 film "Aliens." The shoes, named after the planet LV-426 where the film is set, will be released in limited quantities on April 26th. The shoes being released this time include the "Alien Stomper Hi" (¥25,000), the high-top shoes actually worn by Sigourney Weaver's character Ellen Ripley in "Aliens," and its mid-top version, the "Alien Stomper Mid" (¥19,000). This marks the first time that high-top shoes have been released. The mid-top shoes also faithfully replicate the shoes worn by the android Bishop in the film, featuring reflective stripes on the instep and heel. While mid-cut shoes have been released several times in the past, this is the first time they've featured this detail. With the cooperation of 20th Century Fox, the shoebox features the logo of Weyland-Yutani Corporation, where Ellen Ripley works in the film. Only 426 pairs of the Alien Stamper High will be sold, in reference to the planet LV-426, while 1,986 pairs of the Alien Stamper Mid will be sold to coincide with the year of the film's release. From April 26th to May 8th, Hot Toys' Tokyo flagship store, Toy Sapiens, in Harajuku, Tokyo, will host "Alien Sapiens," an official 20th Century Fox event focusing on "Alien." In addition to the newly released "Alien Stamper," actual filming props from Hollywood will be brought in and exhibited.
