New York-based cosmetics brand Clinique will open a limited-time store, the Dramatically Different (DD) Lounge, at the Hills Cafe and Space in Roppongi Hills from the 5th to September 19th (11am-9pm, until 4pm on the 10th and 12th).
To mark the 35th anniversary of Clinique's arrival in Japan, the store will set up a space where women in their 20s and 30s can freely try out the cosmetics, with the aim of raising awareness of their skincare products, centered around the newly formulated, long-selling emulsion, Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion Plus (DDML+, 48g/3,675 yen, 120g/6,825 yen). The store offers product experiences not found in regular stores, including the "DD Station," where customers can enjoy Clinique skincare with a virtual navigator on a large touchscreen; the "DD Photo Spot," where customers can instantly win a DDML+ by posting photos to social media; and the "DD Island," where customers can diagnose their skin type on an iPad and try the flagship product, the "3-Step Skincare System." All participants will receive a 10-day supply of skincare samples and an original bracelet. The adjacent Hill's Cafe will also offer a menu featuring original drinks featuring the DDML+'s yellow color. Created by a dermatologist, DDML is 100% fragrance-free and has undergone allergy testing, making it a global bestseller. Since its launch in 1968, the first upgrade in 45 years, the DDML+, with added features, was released on August 23rd of this year. By balancing moisture and oil, it enhances the skin's barrier function and leads to softer skin.
