Coach will be releasing its new "Coach Barbie" collaboration with Mattel's Barbie at Coach Omotesando (3-6-1 Kita-Aoyama, Minato-ku, Tokyo) on September 7th. Coach Barbie's outfit is a green striped top, a bright red skirt featuring Coach's iconic "turnlock" logo, and a classic Tattersall check trench coat. She's carrying a bright red "Legacy Duffle" bag. Each bag is individually produced in Coach's design studio using the same manufacturing process as regular bags. A limited production run of 1,300 units will be made worldwide, with 850 units sold in Japan. The price is ¥16,800. Following the pre-release at Coach Omotesando, the collection will be available at Coach Umeda Hankyu on September 14th, and at Coach flagship stores and official websites nationwide on September 15th. It will also be available at Barbie Collector Official Stores nationwide from September 20th. Coach Omotesando will also be participating in Vogue's "FASHION'S NIGHT OUT," which will be held on September 7th. Coach Barbie will be released in advance at FNO, and the first 10 customers to purchase on the day will receive a special gift. Other plans include the release of limited edition bags, a photo service to commemorate the release of Coach Barbie, and a model to greet customers.
