Milan-based costume jewelry brand MAIDEN-ART will open its first pop-up shop in the accessories department on the first floor of the Isetan Shinjuku store. The shop will run from October 1st to 8th.
MAIDEN-ART, which will be running its first pop-up shop, will make its Japan debut in the 2012-13 Autumn/Winter collection. The Japan-exclusive "Chhristaline" collection, which will be released first at Isetan, is inspired by the winter sea and the Icelandic singer Bjork's song of the same name. It includes necklaces, bracelets, and earrings. The collection is priced mainly in the 20,000 yen range. The designer will also be offering special coordination suggestions on October 1st and 5th.
The brand's designer, Maristella Colombo, was born in 1979. After graduating from the University of Arts and Crafts in Milan, he designed for brands such as Brums in Italy, Boudicca in London, and Susan Cianciolo in New York, before founding Maiden Art in 2007. He has worked as a photographer, illustrator, and video artist at international festivals.
