GAP will be releasing its second limited edition collection in collaboration with the US edition of GQ magazine and designers.
The four designers were selected by GQ editor-in-chief Jim Nelson, creative director Jim Moore, and the magazine's fashion editors. They were featured as part of the magazine's "Best New Menswear Designers America" project, which has been running since 2007.
BESPOKEN, a brand by brothers Liam and Sam Fayed, will be releasing a quilted wool shirt jacket (12,000 yen) and a suede baseball jacket (48,000 yen). AviatorNation, a surf style brand by Los Angeles designer Paige Mycoskie, will be releasing items inspired by Venice Beach, including striped sweaters (7,900 yen) and sweatshirts (6,900 yen). Kansas-born designer Matt Baldwin's Baldwin collection will feature Oxford shirts (7,900 yen) and graphic T-shirts (4,900 yen). New York designer Ernest Alexander Sabine's Ernest Alexander collection will feature wave-designed canvas backpacks (9,900 yen) and tote bags (8,900 yen). The collection will be available at 11 Gap stores, including those in Harajuku, Ginza, and Shibuya, from the 27th.
