ANTEPRIMA, celebrating its 20th anniversary, is holding a special event, "PREMIUM KNIT DAYS," at Isetan Shinjuku's 4th floor The Stage #4 from September 25th until the 30th.
The event focuses on the theme of "knitting," highlighting the brand's specialty, advanced knitting techniques. A lineup of limited edition and pre-release items is presented based on four pillars: "Collection Line," "Masterpiece," "Basic," and "Archive."
The "Collection" section displays and sells collection pieces, including a bulky coat and a vibrant red maxi dress from the 2013-14 Autumn/Winter collection. The "Masterpiece" section features the Dancing Sequence line, in which sequins are individually hand-sewn. Sweaters and stoles are available exclusively at Isetan. The "Basic" section features knitwear made from high-quality cashmere with a fine gauge and seamless finish. Available in five colours - yellow, green, red, white and black - some colours will be available at the event first. The "Archive" collection features the popular jacquard line, which was released in 2007 and has been reissued specially for this event, featuring a classic floral motif and a compact silhouette.
ANTEPRIMA was founded in 1993 by creative director Izumi Ogino. In 1995, the brand moved its base of operations to Milan. In 1998, she became the first Japanese woman to officially participate in the Milan Collection. The same year, the brand's iconic wire bag was born. In 2002, the first flagship store in Japan opened in Aoyama.
