Talent Nozomi Tsuji was born on June 17, 1987, in Tokyo.
She passed the "Morning Musume 3rd Additional Audition" held in April 2000 and joined Morning Musume at the age of 12. She made her CD debut the following month with the single "Happy Summer Wedding." In July of the same year, she formed "Minimoni." with Yaguchi Mari and Kago Ai. In March 2004, she formed the unit "Double U (W)" with Kago.
She graduated from Morning Musume in August 2004 and focused on W. However, due to Kago's smoking scandal in 2006, she suspended her activities with W. She transitioned to a solo talent and gained popularity as a goofy talent.
She married actor Sugiura Taiyo in June 2007 and gave birth to a baby girl in November. In 2009, she collaborated with Akachan Honpo to launch her own baby clothing brand, and has been active as a celebrity mom, appearing on the cover of the gyaru mom magazine "I LOVE mama." She gave birth to her second child in 2010 and her third child in 2013.

Last year, she launched her own children's clothing brand, "Saruru." The brand sells matching designs that can be worn by parents and children, and has been generating a lot of buzz with the opening of a limited-time shop at Odaiba Venus Fort.
