Halloween on October 31st was a huge event in Japan, especially at Shibuya Scramble Crossing in Tokyo. In the US, celebrities also showed off elaborate costumes, creating a buzz. Hugh Jackman dressed as Mario from Super Mario Bros., and Justin Bieber played Jackie Moon, the basketball player played by Will Ferrell in the 2008 film, "The Dunkers." Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan attended a party dressed as the Cat from Dr. Seuss' children's book, "The Cat in the Hat." Last week, Channing took his daughter Everly to a Halloween carnival dressed as Winnie the Pooh. He looked a little intimidating with his Pooh-shaped hoodie and sunglasses, and he even commented self-deprecatingly on Instagram, "I scared all the kids." Miley Cyrus dressed as Cinderella, posting photos of herself striking un-princess-like poses, like holding a cigarette and pumping gas into her car. Neil Patrick Harris and his family dressed up as Star Wars characters. Neil dressed as Obi-Wan Kenobi, his husband David as Han Solo, and his adopted twins as Luke Skywalker and Princess Leia, posing with Yoda plushies.
Incidentally, Kim Kardashian's daughter North West and her friends tried out cosplaying as Elsa and Anna from "Frozen." It seems that celebrities are even more excited than usual for their cute children.
