A photo exhibition titled "Regard Intense," tracing the gaze of Ikuyo Takahashi, owner of Le Vesuve, a flower shop in Minami-Aoyama, Tokyo, is being held from November 10th to 29th at Gallery 916 small in Minato Ward, Tokyo. Born in Shizuoka in 1955, Ikuyo Takahashi was a flower designer who, with her extraordinary sensibility, put the simple phrase "flowers in everyday life" into practice. After opening Le Vesuve in Minami-Aoyama, Tokyo, with current representative Tatsumori Matsuoka in 1998, she went independent as a flower designer. Her unpretentious personality and unique floral style captivated many. She worked on a diary project with photographers over the course of 18 years, but passed away suddenly in the fall of 2014, leaving behind her final diary, "Regard Intense - Le Vesuve Diary 2015." The exhibition will feature 20 photographs, as well as the video "Variations I, II, III, IV, V & Aria." It's a photo exhibition that allows visitors to experience Takahashi's extraordinary daily life, a life lived with flowers. Additionally, on November 28th and 29th, a workshop will be held where participants can learn about the thought processes, preparations, and other aspects required to capture people's hearts through photography and video. The first day will feature a lecture, individual portfolio review, and a shared evaluation process. On the second day, participants will view and evaluate the photos they have actually taken. It will be an opportunity for participants to reflect on the meaning of capturing everyday moments while actually photographing flowers. The event is limited to 20 people, and the participation fee is 10,000 yen.
