From November 25th to 30th, Isetan Shinjuku will host "NOEL A LA MODE," a champagne festival bringing together a variety of unique champagnes in the store's main building's 6th floor event hall. A total of 70 brands will participate in the event, including many champagnes personally purchased by Mitsukoshi Isetan buyers. The diverse lineup includes Rose de Jeanne's "Prell 2011" (¥16,000), a blend of Pinot Noir grapes harvested from 10 different vineyards; Champagne Marteau's "Terre d'Origin" (¥7,000), made from grapes nearly 50 years old; and Eric Schwörer's "Cuvée Astral" (¥20,000), a pesticide-free champagne crafted in tune with the movement of the sun and the phases of the moon. Some Maisons will even have winemakers in person during the event, allowing visitors to ask questions directly about Champagne through an interpreter. Additionally, in the eat-in corner, guests can enjoy Krug's Grande Cuvée paired with a potato, truffle, and conger eel quiche, created by chef Chikara Yamada (limited to 80 per day, 3,500 yen). This menu was created as part of a project in which Krug Ambassador chefs from nine countries around the world came up with the perfect pairing of Krug Grande Cuvée with potatoes. The reason for choosing potatoes, a common food in many countries, was that the chef wanted people around the world to enjoy champagne more casually at their daily dinner tables.

2015 marks the memorable year in which the Champagne region was registered as a World Heritage Site, so there's no doubt that other Maisons also have a strong desire to spread the charm of Champagne to even more people and preserve it for future generations. Even those who have been visiting every year will be thrilled by the new discoveries and encounters.

In addition, this year marks the release of the film "Spectre," so Maisons, which always release limited edition Champagnes in the year a new 007 movie is released, will be offering a limited edition collaboration set of a magnum bottle of Polinger R.D. from the legendary 1988 vintage and crystal maker Saint-Louis, for 1 million yen.
