The special exhibition "CREATION Project 2015: Scarves & Blankets by 177 Creators and a Knitwear Manufacturer from Date City, Fukushima" is currently being held at Creation Gallery G8 in Ginza, Tokyo, and Guardian Garden.

The "CREATION Project" is a charity exhibition that began in 1990. This year, titled "Date Knitting," original scarves and blankets were produced in collaboration with Daisan, a knitwear manufacturer with 45 years of experience in Date City, Fukushima Prefecture, a city that has flourished as one of Japan's leading knitwear production areas.

The exhibition features the works of 177 volunteer knitwear designers, ranging from young artists to established creators, as well as six designs by children from Date City Yanagawa Elementary School, selected by art director Koichi Kosugi and creative director Michihiko Yanai. Scarves (4,000 yen), blankets (4,500 yen), and a pamphlet containing all the works (540 yen) will also be on sale at the venue. Proceeds from the sale of the knitwear will be donated to the Iwate Learning Hope Fund, the Miyagi Children's Scholarship Fund for the Great East Japan Earthquake, and the Fukushima Children's Donation Fund, which support children in the disaster-stricken areas.

Participating creators include Katsumi Asaba, Daijiro Ohara, Kaoru Kasai, Masayoshi Furuhira, Atsumi Kikuchi, Taku Sato, Kenjiro Sano, Kazunari Hattori, Kiyoshi Kuroda, Ai Teramoto, Tombo Sensei, Kanae Hayashi, Kodue Hibino, and Hisashi Narita.
