German luxury watchmaker A. Lange & Söhne has announced the limited edition "Lange 1 20th Anniversary." This model commemorates the 20th anniversary of the Lange 1, one of the first models released since the brand's revival in 1994. Its innovative technologies, such as an outsize date display and a 72-hour power reserve, garnered rave reviews from the media at the time of its release. This model is based on the "Little 1," one size smaller than the Lange 1, making it the perfect pairing. The guilloched dial is crafted from solid gold, and the bezel is set with 64 brilliant-cut diamonds. The Lange in-house caliber L901.0 is made up of 365 components, and the balance cock features a hand-engraved "20." Five case and dial combinations are available, including platinum and black and white gold and blue. Each set will be sold in a limited run of 20 pairs.
In addition, to commemorate the release of the Lange 1 "20th Anniversary," an event will be held in Japan, the third in the world, which will also serve as a unveiling. The event will be held at the Hour Glass Ginza store on October 31st and November 1st, and at A. Lange & Söhne Tokyo on November 2nd and 3rd.
