Jun 25, 2014

The 2014 anniversary fashion doll "Blythe" has been released as an original smartphone case.

The design features a dressed-up doll standing against a background decorated with large roses. Two designs are available: "Regina Arwen" with a vivid green background and "Contessa Margherita" in pink. Both are made of polycarbonate and cost 3,695 yen. Compatible with 50 models. Custom-made cases are available on the character merchandise sales website "mine."

Blythe was released by Kenner in the United States in 1972. It first appeared in Japan in Parco's Christmas campaign in 2000, and gained popularity among many women through television commercials. Dresses, shoes, and accessories for Blythe are also available, so you can have fun dressing her up. Among fashion brands, Bottega Veneta carried out a collaboration this year, which attracted attention when a life-size Blythe doll wearing the new collection appeared at the brand's Sando store and Isetan Shinjuku store.
