The "Meguro Interior Collection 2014" will be held at Hillside Terrace Daikanyama from November 1st to 3rd.
This year's exhibition will feature interior shops from the Meguro area creating spaces using furniture from around the world. The venue will feature a variety of interior designs, including early American, British and Italian antiques, Scandinavian vintage, and Asian influences. In response to the recent trend of renovations aimed at improving earthquake resistance, insulation, and functionality, this year's theme is "Renovation Olympics." In addition to furniture, curtains, rugs, imported wallpaper, paint, and more will be used to create professionally coordinated designs.
Various events will also be held during the event. On November 1st, a fashion show by Sugino Fashion College will be held, along with an exhibition of works by students from the Dressmaker Academy. There will also be a special live performance by gospel folk singer Misa Kamiyama. Workshops are also planned, including oil-finish table maintenance and a lesson on plaster wall painting by plasterer Toshihiko Ueda.
Afterwards, a talk show will be held on the 2nd with an interior shop owner, and on the 3rd with an architect. A one-day-only flea market, "Hillside Forum Courtyard," will also be held on the 3rd, with rare accessories and interior items from around the world on display.
During the event, special sales will be held at participating stores, and a stamp rally will also be held. Gift certificates and other prizes will be entered into a lottery, and if you collect five stamps you will receive an original eco-bag as a gift.
