
Actress Miori Takimoto was born on October 16, 1991, in Tottori City, Tottori Prefecture.
She made her singing debut in 2003 as a member of the vocal dance unit "Sweets." When the group disbanded in 2006, she took a break from singing. She took a break from showbiz for a while, but in 2010, she auditioned for the role of Yuki, the heroine of the film "Higanjima," marking her debut as an actress. That same year, she also played the lead role in the NHK morning drama "Teppan," marking a milestone year for Takimoto.
In 2011, she starred in the remake of the Korean drama "You're Beautiful," resuming her singing career as a member of the band "A.N.JELL," which appeared in the story. In 2014, she was selected as the lead singer for the newly formed female rock band "LAGOON." She also garnered attention for her voice acting role as the heroine Nahoko Satomi in the Studio Ghibli film "The Wind Rises" in 2013. Since 2009, she has appeared in numerous TV commercials for Sony Insurance.
