On October 18th, designer Yasuko Furuta's TOGA VIRILIS presented its 2015 Spring/Summer collection at Hikarie Hall in Shibuya, Tokyo. This season's theme was a fusion of fashion, art, and music, presented in the form of an installation. Models, styled by stylist Keita Inozuka, lined up like mannequins, creating a unique atmosphere. The collection showcased TOGA VIRILIS' unique hippie style, incorporating elements of 1970s folklore, including long jackets trimmed with leather tape, paisley-patterned shirts and pants, and turquoise accessories. Introducing sandals with a striking, embossed metal buckle for a heavy feel, these items are making their first appearance in the men's line. Also making their debut in the installation was a collaboration with artist Tomoo Gokita, who has been garnering attention for his monochrome drawings since the late 1990s.
At the end of the presentation, Canadian psychedelic artist Dirty Beaches, wearing collaborative T-shirts with Gokita, put on an exciting live performance.
