Founded by Bob Hurley in 1981 and later entrusted to Japanese shaper A39 (Eisaku), i.p.d. is a long-established handmade surfboard brand. It has been a favorite of surfers in the Huntington Beach area of Southern California, known as the surfing mecca, for over 30 years. In 2012, the brand partnered with Solo Ishijima, an apparel business director with experience in online US businesses, to launch a new apparel business. In 2013, the brand finally entered the Japanese market.
This white shirt, inspired by Huntington Beach, is a unique piece. Based on the concept of "be cool, be sexy, be playful," the brand is currently developing four styles: two dress shirts and two casual shirts, reflecting the laid-back Southern California lifestyle, primarily made from linen.
More than 30 years after the boom, as there is once again a growing return to a surfing-based lifestyle, we would like to draw your attention to the proposals for new adult surf fashion and after-surf style.
