Yohji Yamamoto's 2013-14 Autumn/Winter collection show was held at Paris Fashion Week on March 1st. The venue was the Palais Omnisport Paris Bercy. The designer was Yohji Yamamoto.

All the models who appeared had jet-black bob hair. The show began with a look of a long black pullover and long skirt with white stitching, followed by tops and jackets with kimono-like sleeves made from rectangular pieces of fabric fastened to the armholes, and a woven fabric bag with a crane design, all evoking a vaguely Japanese essence.

The three-dimensional mini dresses and bags, made by folding felt like origami to create numerous triangles, were symmetrical in design. The jacket, made by removing the weft thread from the fabric to create a fringe-like effect, had a slim waist and sleeves, creating a feminine silhouette. It was paired with white mannish slacks and Yamamoto's favorite wide-brimmed hat. The dresses featured designs that showed off the décolleté and featured skirts that puffed out like crinolines. The black dress featured partially pleated fabric layered in a crisscross pattern to decorate the waist and create a flowing flare. A pleated shawl was layered over a light blue tank top and pants, creating a dress-like effect. This pleating technique also appeared frequently in the SS05 collection, which featured the final piece, "Chaconne," from Bach's Partita No. 2 for Solo Violin. The collection continued with gathers and tucks, creating sculptural shapes. The twisting and folding of the fabric created a unique, voluminous drape. Some in the audience suggested that these fabric treatments paid homage to the Japanese fashion that Japanese designers presented to the world after the war. Finally, there were three colorful knit looks. The key features of the collection were the lines that hugged the body, with folded shoulder and waist details. The final look was a jacket and bell-bottom pants. The three-piece suit, which was reminiscent of a man's beautiful outfit, had a classic feel with wide lapels and pinstripe fabric. The uniform items of a pea coat and pleated skirt had a boxy silhouette that created a strong contrast with the pants. Black leather gloves with red and blue nails on the fingertips, or with glitter fabric accents that looked like nail polish, added a strong color accent to the jet black look.
