It has been announced that Kazuyuki Yamamuro, director of INFAS Publications Inc. and editor-in-chief of WWD Japan and WWD Beauty, passed away on the morning of March 16, 2013, due to an acute myocardial infarction. He was 53 years old. 
Kazuyuki Yamamuro was born in Tokyo in 1959. After graduating from the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Faculty of Science and Technology, Sophia University, he joined Morihanae International in 1982. He became producer of "Fashion Tsushin" in 1985 and editor-in-chief of "WWD Japan," a weekly fashion newspaper published by INFAS Publications, in 2006. He covered the forefront of the fashion scene around the world for over 20 years. He had close ties with top designers, CEOs of famous brands, and supermodels. He also currently serves as editor-in-chief of "WWD Beauty." As a journalist, he was active across media boundaries, covering both fashion and beauty topics on TV, radio, magazine columns, lectures, and talk shows.
He appeared in good health at the reception at the Thom Browne New York Aoyama store on the 15th and at the Yukitorii International collection. The following morning, on the 16th, he passed away from an acute myocardial infarction.
The wake and funeral will be held as a joint farewell ceremony organized by the Infas Media Group and the Yamamuro family, as follows:
Wake: Monday, March 25th, 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM
Funeral: Tuesday, March 26th, 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM
