COMME des GARÇONS SHIRT presented its 2013-14 Fall/Winter collection at Paris Men's Fashion Week. The designer was Rei Kawakubo.
In the first half of the show, a succession of large and small checked suits were presented. A variety of colors were proposed, including green, red, and blue. Looks also appeared using double-faced fabric with checked and camouflage patterns.
Next were shirts with abstract designs printed on the front. The designs gradually took on a more elaborate design, evolving into appliqués of houses, taxis, ducks, and butterflies. Jackets also featured stitchwork on the back. Bottoms were straight-cut, ranging from long to half-length, and were kept simple.
The patterns then shifted to polka dots, stripes, and borders. Colored stripes were sewn around the seams of elaborately patterned shirts, creating eye-catching design accents like the sidelines of a jersey. In the second half, Mickey Mouse prints were introduced in collaboration with Disney. They were used as rough drawings on the front of T-shirts and shirts. The finale was a succession of colorful cut-and-sew pieces in argyle, checks, and multi-circles.
