FACETASM remakes its men's line for women at Ginza Mitsukoshi!

Mar 2, 2016

From March 2nd to 15th, Ginza Mitsukoshi will be running the "Only MI Spring Campaign," showcasing products that embody customer feedback. Each floor will feature exclusive items created in collaboration with fashion brands, as well as items created by combining traditional Japanese techniques with creative talent.

A highlight of this campaign is the remake of a men's jacket (32,000 yen) and pants (29,000 yen) from FACETASM, available at Le Place on the third floor of the store. This was in response to customer feedback that "I want to try wearing FACETASM's men's designs," and the men's line has been made available in smaller sizes that are easier for women to wear. This is being introduced as part of a new trend known as "neo-genderless," in which women wear the same designs and patterns as men.

In response to customer requests for casual, fashionable clothing for early spring, LUGHA, which is available on the fourth floor of the store at 4th of GINZA, has created a new trench coat (99,000 yen) with a length of over 100cm, and a shirt with slits on both sides (33,000 yen).

Also featured on the first floor of the store are scarves woven by long-established factories in Yamanashi and Fukui prefectures, long known for their weaving production, combined with the sensibilities of up-and-coming creators, under the theme of "flower" and "lace." This large scarf was commercialized in response to customer requests for "a desire to enjoy a variety of styles with scarves," and was commercialized in collaboration with up-and-coming creators and designers, an original Mitsukoshi Isetan brand. The selection will include a scarf (16,000 yen) by Nagashima Rikako, who works on branding, architectural sign planning, and editorial design based on graphic design, a scarf (33,000 yen) by TYMOTE, a group of designers who work in a wide range of fields including video, CG, and music with a focus on graphic design, a scarf (26,000 yen) by textile designer Masashi Kondo, who has attracted attention for providing designs to popular Scandinavian brands, and a scarf (16,000 yen) by textile designer Yuji Mizuta, who is active on the world stage providing fabrics to collection brands and holding solo exhibitions.

In addition, the women's shoe section on the second floor of the store will offer "personal shoe counseling" to respond to customer requests for "shoes that fit me perfectly in size and design." Based on the customer's digital foot record and their requests, the store will suggest the perfect pair of shoes from the entire women's shoe floor, regardless of brand. The entire service, from measurement to fitting, is free of charge.
