Isetan Mitsukoshi Co., Ltd. will begin broadcasting a new project with BS Japan, "Midnight Department Store: Welcome to the Secret Room," a groundbreaking TV shopping program (every Tuesday from 11:00 PM to 11:30 PM) starting April 5th. The goal of this collaboration between the two companies is to evoke viewers' "joy and discovery in purchasing things and experiences" and propose "new lifestyles" to them through a "story drama" based on "real-life episodes" that take place in the department store. This is a new type of shopping program that combines the virtual and the real world. In each episode, a special customer is invited to the department store at midnight, where a legendary concierge, the "Spirit," will introduce "products that will open up new doors in the guest's life" based on the guest's concerns. The Spirit is played by Akio Otsuka, who also stars in the show.

The products to be introduced range from miscellaneous goods (women's and men's), fashion items for women's and men's clothing, beauty products, golf goods, living items such as furniture, and even food. These will be limited edition products selected by Mitsukoshi Isetan buyers.
