Sato is a creative director who handles brand strategies for a variety of companies, from concept development for brand communication to design consulting. He has worked on logos and spatial designs for numerous well-known companies, using a unique approach that overturns conventional concepts of design and conveys the essence of information through a visual language that is easily recognizable to everyone. To commemorate the "Kashiwa Sato Exhibition," which begins on February 3, 2021, Sato, who has created new value in various industries, and G-SHOCK, which continues to challenge conventional wisdom in the watch industry, have teamed up for the first time to collaborate.

The DWE-5600KS features blue and white straight lines on a vivid red face, based on Sato's signature artwork series, "LINES." The base model is the latest model, the DWE-5600, which allows for interchangeable bands and bezels. The bands and bezels are available in clear, orange, and green skeleton materials, and can be freely combined to create 27 different designs. Additionally, when the backlight is lit, Sato's initial "K" appears.

We have prepared special packaging featuring art that makes use of the straight lines of "LINES," making this a highly original collaboration model that embodies Mr. Sato's unique worldview.

Profile of Kashiwa Sato
Born in Tokyo in 1965. Graduated from the Graphic Design Department of Tama Art University. After working at Hakuhodo Inc., he went independent in 2000. Founded "SAMURAI" in the same year. As a total brand strategy producer, his end-to-end work, from concept creation to communication planning and visual development, is highly regarded across a wide range of fields for its powerful creativity. A leading Japanese creator, he presents new perspectives to global society.
LINES
This series of works, which Sato has been creating intermittently since 2017, explores the universal question of "what is beauty?" using straight lines. Sato believes that perfectly straight lines symbolize "concepts" that exist only in human thought and represent the ultimate "beauty." He continues to evolve the series by varying the thickness and arrangement of the lines.

Announcement of the "Kashiwa Sato Exhibition"
The "Kashiwa Sato Exhibition" will be held at the National Art Center, Tokyo in Roppongi, Tokyo from February 3 to May 10, 2021.
A venue-exclusive "G-SHOCK" is also planned for release. For more information, please visit the URL below.
