Levi's will open a pop-up shop at Global Closet/Season/Levi's on the second floor of the Isetan Shinjuku Main Building from March 16th to 29th.
The pop-up shop, held in response to Isetan's 130th anniversary project "The Evolution of Classics," is themed around "We are 501" and "Genderless." It is a space where customers can experience the evolution of the brand's signature jeans, the 501, as well as new customization proposals. The 501 has evolved into the ultimate classic straight-leg jean of its time, and last February, the brand released the "501 CT (Customized & Tapered)," inspired by customization. For spring 2016, four new colors will be introduced, including spring-like white denim and trendy distressed denim.
The pop-up shop will feature two customized versions of the men's 501, the "Levi's Vintage Clothing 1966 Model," with a genderless yet feminine silhouette. Two styles will be available: the slim straight "Susie" and the tapered silhouette "McQueen," each in two sizes, S and M. The pocket lining will be stamped with exclusive stamps from the Levi's Tailor Shop and Isetan Shinjuku.
In addition, from 11:00 to 19:30 on March 20th and 23rd, a skilled master tailor from the Levi's Shinjuku Tailor Shop will be on hand to offer a service to customize your "501." The products available are one color of the 1966 "501" model and four new colors of the "501 CT," for a total of five colors. Reservations for this service, which began on March 16th, can be made by calling Isetan Shinjuku (main number: 03-3352-1111).
