
Korean artist Dylan Ryu will hold his third exhibition in Japan, "Collage Generation," at the Pass the Baton Kyoto Gion store from March 30th to April 24th.
The title of the exhibition, "Collage Generation," refers to the "spirit of a generation living in the present while reminiscing about aesthetics from the past that they have never experienced." This exhibition features 10 artworks by Dylan Ryu, collages of Chanel advertisements from the 1960s and 1970s, using metal badges, crocodile leather, and initial accessories.
Vintage bags adorned with various decorations will also be on display and for sale. On display will be vintage Chanel bags adorned with 1930s Art Deco-style cameos, vintage crocodile bags adorned with 1960s medals and 1910s Art Deco gemstone accessories.
Dylan Liu himself will be visiting Japan from 3pm to 6pm on the first day of the event, the 30th, and will also be creating artwork in the Kyoto Gion store.
