Ralph Lauren is pleased to announce the release of an Automotive Chronograph watch. The RL Automotive Chronograph Wood Bezel watch is the result of a remarkable marriage between the worlds of automobile manufacturing and watchmaking. Inspired by Ralph Lauren's own 1938 Bugatti Type 57SC Atlantic Coupe, one of the most iconic pre-war automobiles of all time, this new timepiece combines high levels of engineering prowess with sophisticated design, requiring exceptionally complex and highly technical craftsmanship to create.

The RL Automotive Chronograph is powered by a self-winding Swiss mechanical movement created by Jaeger-LeCoultre exclusively for Ralph Lauren, featuring a 28,800 vibrations per hour (VPH) and a 65-hour power reserve, and is decorated with Geneva stripes and fish-scale circular graining. A new bi-compax layout with two subdials, one for 12 hours and one for 30 minutes, ensures precise timekeeping. Exquisite details, including polished and sandblasted stainless steel components and a sapphire crystal caseback with anti-reflective coating on the inside, exude unmistakable Swiss craftsmanship and Ralph Lauren style.

Bugatti's artistic elegance is epitomized in the Ambon burl bezel, which is inspired by the hardwood trim found in luxury car interiors. The polished bezel, with its rich, swirling grain, is reminiscent of a Bugatti steering wheel and is secured with handset screws. The matte black dial is adorned with the combined "RL" logo and Arabic numerals crafted in Super-LumiNova, a luminous material. The soft glow of the Bugatti instruments is almost reminiscent of the watch's interior.

For an even more refined look, the new 42mm case is complemented by a choice of black alligator or stainless steel straps. Both straps are interchangeable and use quick-release pin bars to attach them.
