Each bookstore will act as a concierge, recommending "the book you should read now" to FASHION HEADLINE readers. Every Thursday, each branch of the art bookshop "NADiff" will introduce a book they recommend. This time, we'll be looking at the flagship store in Ebisu, Tokyo, the NADiff Apartment (1-18-4 Ebisu, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo, 1F NADiff A/P/A/R/T).

■ "Robert Coutelas 1930-1985: A Collection of the Works of Robert Coutelas: The Work of an Artist"

Last year marked the 30th anniversary of the death of French painter Robert Coutelas (1930-1985), and this collection has just been published.

Coutelas remained true to his beliefs as an artist throughout his life. Each of his works, created despite his humble circumstances, exudes unique charm. As proof of this, a promotional poster for the Hungarian band "Kolindera," which he heard on the radio and liked so much that he volunteered to design the cover himself, disappeared from the streets of Paris as soon as it was put up.

This collection, which contains almost all the information about Coutras, features approximately 1,500 works, providing a comprehensive overview of Coutras's diverse output, including paintings, the small cardboard tableau "Cult: My Night," terracottas, sketches, drawings, posters, and shadow puppets. Contributions by writer Ogawa Yoko. Also not to be missed is the exhibition "Robert Coutelas: 'Coutelas in a Small Room,'" to be held at NADiff Gallery from April 1st.
