Keio University students launch new service "Bouquet" that allows users to send bouquets via social media in collaboration with industry

Feb 8, 2013

Keio University Graduate School of Media Design, i879 Inc., and Hivelocity Inc. have jointly launched "bouquet," a service that allows users to send bouquets via social media.

"bouquet" allows users to send original bouquets and bouquet-style message cards with friends via social media for celebratory occasions like birthdays and farewell parties. By linking with Facebook and Twitter, the service provides a one-stop service for gathering friends to send flowers, shipping the bouquet, and sharing the celebration on their timelines.

The organizer chooses a bouquet theme based on the recipient's image. Then, they invite other participants via social media. Invited participants can select their favorite flowers from a selection of flowers with messages and add their own congratulatory messages. These messages are collected like a message card to create a "message bouquet." A florist will then create an original bouquet based on the image, and deliver the message to the recipient. The bouquet-style message card and the image of the bouquet can be shared on social media as a memento.

The bouquets can be shipped from approximately 4,000 stores nationwide while maintaining their freshness, so they can be delivered nationwide in as little as three days from the date of the event. Participants can participate from 525 yen per share, with a total of 8 shares worth 4,200 yen, and up to 100 shares worth 52,500 yen.
