The second installment of the J.W. Anderson x TOPSHOP collaboration, which debuted last October and sold out worldwide, will be released on March 8th. This new collection takes J.W. Anderson's iconic style and modernizes it with futuristic materials. "The designs are more conscious of youth culture. As the iconic girl has grown, the designs have been updated from the previous collection. I created pieces that can be worn on a regular basis," Anderson said. The collection includes a quilted skirt made of indigo denim, a patent leather trench coat, loafers with a 7.6cm platform heel, a mid-length pleated skirt made of diver and vinyl, and polo shirts and bags featuring the JW logo. A number of campaigns will also be held to commemorate the release. A first for Japan, a shop-in-shop featuring J.W. Anderson collaboration items will be opening at the Topshop Miraza Shinjuku store. Customers who purchase items will also receive an original tote bag with a dodo bird print and a NEWGEN-design badge (while supplies last; tote bags are not available at the Yokohama store). Additionally, one pair of lucky winners will be entered into a lottery to enjoy shopping with designer Anderson himself in Topshop's Personal Shopping Room on March 7th. They will receive a free collaboration item and a 20% off VIP card (available only on the day), giving them VIP treatment. Entries are accepted from February 15th to 24th, 2013. J.W. Anderson is a brand launched by designer Jonathan William Anderson as a men's brand in the autumn/winter 2008 season. He studied menswear at the London College of Fashion and graduated in 2005. He launched a women's line in the autumn/winter 2011-12 season. As one of the members of NEWGEN (a project that supports up-and-coming British designers), he has attracted attention not only in the UK but also around the world.
