Givenchy by Riccardo Tisci's Fall/Winter 2013-14 men's collection was unveiled at Paris Men's Fashion Week.

The collection fuses American rock 'n' roll style with the world of couture. It incorporates motifs such as the American flag, baseball, the sexuality of American photographer Robert Mapplethorpe's work, the neo-classicism of Greek sculpture, and Latin culture.

The color palette is unified by black, white, and gray tones. The designs combine the shadows created by different textures, such as shiny leather, matte tweed, velvet, and wool.

Pointed-toe shoes with metal plates, bold zippers, and metal buttons on shirt collars also have a rock feel. The graphics and collages that have become his signature are printed on argyle cashmere sweaters, leather, and velvet, giving Tisci a modern twist on elements of "classic" and "elegance."

Tailored and duffle-style jackets and coats have straight silhouettes and no collars. Another distinctive style is down jackets wrapped around the waist.

Patchwork blousons and sweaters with thick, glove-like stitching have rounded shoulder lines. They seem to project the image of the powerful America that Tisci admired as a child.
