American cosmetics manufacturer Revlon, celebrating its 50th anniversary in Japan, will open a limited-time shop at Omotesando Hills from March 8th to 17th.
The shop will feature original short videos about new products and portraits taken by photographer Kei Ogata, expressing this year's vision, "Inspire My Beauty." The models featured in the portraits are Yuko Sumida Jackson, the first female dancer to appear on Michael Jackson's world tour; Hiroko Mima, who competed in the 2008 Miss Universe pageant; and fashion models Miyuki Koizumi, Kozue Akimoto, and Tina Tamaki.
Revlon rose to fame in 1932 as the world's first highly pigmented nail enamel. Founder Charles Revson named the company "REVLON" by combining the initial "L" of Charles Lachman, a scientist who contributed to the development of nail enamel, with his own surname. The company is currently based in New York and has a sales network in over 140 countries.
